Beliefs

Sanctuary Praise International Church (SPIC) believes in the following:

  • That the Holy Bible consisting of 66 Books is the inspired, authoritative and infallible word of God. The Bible is the final authority in all matters concerning Christian Conduct and work. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17; 2 Peter 1: 13-14.
  • That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Cor 13:14. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day, He arose from the dead, and ascended on high where He took His seat at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
  • The Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper that we might “shew the Lord’s death till he comes.” Luke 22:17-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-34.
  • We believe that in the End Days, the dead in Christ will rise first and those who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet Jesus in the air. Rev. 19:20, Rev. 20:11-15; 2 Cor. 5:10; Romans 14:12.
  • We believe that after death, eternal life begins either in heaven or in hell, and where one spends eternity is based on the decision to live according to God’s Word and commandments, or on the decision to rebel and deny His Word and commandments.
  • We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues- John 14:16, 17,26; Acts 1:5-8; Acts 2:1-18 and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:1-11; Eph 5:18.
  • We believe in divine healing (which is the restoration of health to one who believes and acts out on God’s Word), and that Jesus is the Healer. We further believe that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed-Isaiah 53:4-5; Mathew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24.
  • We believe in tithing and bringing offerings into the local church- Mal. 3:8-12. We also believe in giving alms and caring for the poor, sick, homeless, and otherwise unfortunate.
  • We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the name of Jesus and the authority in that name. Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:38-39.
  • We believe that God is no respecter of persons, for, in Christ “there is neither white nor black, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”- Gal 3:28.
  • We believe that as believers we must not forsake the assembling of ourselves together (and all the more in these last days); that Church attendance, fellowship, and submission of one to another, will play a very important part in our deliverance from this world – Heb 10:24-25.
  • We believe that God has set in the church the five-fold ministry gifts of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ – Eph 3:11-13.
  • We believe in the Great Commission as Jesus Christ’s last command to every Christian to be a part of this great world harvest; Go you into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every creature – Mark 16:15.
